Erika De Bonis, known professionally as ERIKA, was born in Latina, Italy, in 1984. Her passion for music was passed down through her family, especially by her brother Tristano, lead singer of Magic Box, who writes all of ERIKA’s songs.
At just 16 years old, ERIKA made her debut with the song “Relations”, written by Tristano and produced by the duo Mensi & Prini (Spy Records). The track reached #1 on the Italian radio charts and later achieved success in the United States, South America, Russia, and several European countries. This was followed by the release of the single “Save My Heart.”
In the summer of 2002, ERIKA released “Ditto,” which was premiered on RAI 1 at the Sanremo Dance Festival. The song immediately sparked interest and curiosity and went on to achieve major success.
In 2003, ERIKA confirmed her status as one of the leading dance artists on the international scene with the single “I Don’t Know,” which led her to perform not only in Italy but also across Europe, the United States, and especially Eastern Europe, where she is considered a true star.
The latest release by ERIKA and her creative team—Tristano, DJ Ross, and Luca Mensi—is the single “Right or Wrong,” which has been in radio airplay since April 2004 in Italy and abroad.
In August, ERIKA, together with Tristano and DJ Ross, performed a full live concert at the Planet Pop Festival in São Paulo, in front of 10,000 spectators, achieving extraordinary success and becoming guests and featured artists on the most important Brazilian radio and TV shows.
