TALLISKER is a French indie pop singer-songwriter who gained international attention when her singles “Blind”, “Somewhere”, and “Cocagne” organically reached millions of streams.
Tallisker released “Somewhere” on her own label, earning notable placements such as New Music Friday France, New Talent on Spotify, and Rising Artists on Tidal, as well as significant support from French media.
A few months later, Time Records, recognizing the pop potential of “Somewhere”, licensed the track and presented it to LA Vision, the producer/artist who recently released the hit single “Hollywood” with Gigi D’Agostino. LA Vision fell in love with the song and created his own personal version. The two artists then decided to collaborate, and they are now set to release “Somewhere” together for winter 2020.
Her music is a synthesis of East and West, the result of her Western upbringing enriched with Greek, Italian, Ashkenazi, and North African heritage, which she conveys with poetic sensitivity.
The Azadi EP (2020), composed and recorded while exploring Paris, Tehran, and New York, is a musical journey at the crossroads of classical, Persian, and electronic sounds. Its unusual instrumental energy and hypersensitive lyrics tell stories of exile and the search for freedom, alongside the hope and disillusionment they bring.
Tallisker’s debut album, Contrepoints, released in 2022, represents the full expression of her sonic personality and bohemian creative process, shaped by nomadic songwriting and DIY recording. Blending catchy electronic pop with folkloric instrumental elements, she delivers ear-catching, cosmopolitan sounds inspired by role models such as M.I.A., Rosalia, and Stromae. The single “Cocagne” reached #1 among the most streamed and Shazammed foreign tracks in Turkey. Tallisker’s repertoire is now expanding into new territories, including Romania, Germany, Italy, and the United States.
